A New Beginning

New Orleans has been devasted. Once people's lives are stabilized and the second guessing ends, attention will turn to how to rebuild. The knee-jerk "let's put it back the way it was and prove we can't be defeated" falls short. We have an opportunity to learn and grow. Obviously piling in 20 feet of dirt is a start, but I would suggest truly embracing New Orleans as an international city. Move the UN there (they like being around the oil and give NYer's a well-earned break). Invite the frogs, krauts, and limeys to be part of a great epicurean revolution. Let's all eat our way to global understanding.
